Christmas Donations

This year, the chapter is donating to The Formation Project. This is a survivor-centered, anti-human trafficking non-profit organization based in Charleston. I have attached some information about their impact in the community.

They expressed that they have a need for prepaid phones for their survivors. The grant that had been covering this has expired. I think it would be easiest to collect cash donations for these as they are about $50 each. I do have a link where you can purchase a phone, please contact me if you prefer to do this.

"Providing a phone to our participants meets a critical need. It ensures they can stay connected to essential supports, like service providers, community resources, legal advocates, and therapeutic care. Access to a reliable phone isn’t just convenient; it’s a key part of safety, stability, and being able to fully engage in their healing and steps toward independence. Having access to communication with case managers is a fundamental component of case management and is such a unique service provided by TFP."

They have also mentioned a need for "stocking stuffers" for women. Lip gloss, warm socks, lotion, body wash, etc.

The final day for donations will be December 15. I will determine a pickup location closer to that date. You can also bring donations to our December meeting.

Thank you for your generous contributions to our community.

Great choice for an organization to donate to. Thank you.

Since there won't be a December meeting, perhaps the members could Venmo their contribution. Perhaps remind members the name to send Venmo to.
